One answer to why Alexi didn't succeed is embedded in your article and suggested by the movie "Her,": why couldn't we freakin' call it whatever we wanted to make it more personal? Like for me, if I had been able to say, "Beelzebub, find me a good restaurant" I would have gladly used that application just for the sheer fun of saying "Beelzebub regularly and then getting some practical guidance as icing on the cake!
