And yes, the lack of good public transport in the US is VERY lame. In fact, I was going to attempt a cross-country travel-logue in 2020 where I had a few rules and one was, no driving a car by myself. I wanted to show Americans that they CAN get around their country without owning a car. But yes, it SHOULD be A LOT easier. I have lived in Japan for 17 years without having a car and I LOVE it.

The labor laws are also morbid in the US. The country is basically run as a racket for the rich who declare war on the poor and then blame them for not working hard enough. It's pretty fucked.
