I think we denizens of the 21st century sometimes take for granted what an amazing, global mishmash we all are and how that leads to even more unique individuals.

Anyway, yeah, Fukouka is the largest city (I think around 1.5 million) on the most southern of the 5 large major Japanese islands, Kyushu.

I've never been but one of my goals for my 50s is to get out and explore this country some more. But I have been to Okinawa--the southern island chain---and it's beautiful, kind of like Japan's Hawaii.
