Beyond all that, the point is about Big Tech's response---in 2016 (in our reality), there was no response. The stories ran and people speculated for long after the election that Trump was aided by the Russians. Such discussion was shared widely and there was no crackdown.

In 2020, Big Tech has stepped in.

I could have developed it even further, pointing out that IF the Access Hollywood tapes had got the same treatment as the Hunter emails, liberals would have had even more reason to feel like the election was interfered with.

And that would have made them even madder.

Recognizing that may help us understand why some on the Right feel so upset now.
