Kelley, like Warren Turner, your article gave me pause and made me feel sad that you don’t have the privilege of just having a run without having these kinds of experiences. I’m a middle-aged white guy living in Japan who prefers biking, but the only thing I’ve ever really felt frightened of were strange animal sounds coming out of the dark woods, nothing like the much more real threat you felt.

Anyway, I figure there are probably countless times you’ve run and not had such experiences, but I also recognize that having this happen, even once, tends to put that worry in your mind and for that, I’m sorry. Makes me sick that men do this kind of shit.
