Kathy, I totally feel this.
I’ve all but given up hope the U.S. survives the decade as a political entity. I’ve even entered a place where I cheer for that sometimes.
Kathy, I totally feel this. I vacillate between three emotions about the State of the Union: anger, sorrow and numbness.
I’ve all but given up hope the U.S. survives the decade as a political entity. I’ve even entered a place where I cheer for that sometimes.
Please note: I am being very precise with my language when I write “the U.S. as a political entity.”
It seems to me the federal government not only no longer cares about the citizens of the US and the world, it is actively opposed to our well being.
I can’t explain its behavior in any kinder way.
Personally, I think it is Bernie’s soft and naive heart that caused him to quit. He seems to think just because Joe Biden was good to him means Biden won’t stab him in the gut to become president.
How truly, truly sad.
Hang in there everyone! I personally think on a deeper level, these converging crises are asking us all to give up thinking about a federal government Savior and to start healing the wounds of ourselves and our fellow citizens. Enough partisan fighting.
