I am often surprised by the number of readers and the number of claps a story gets without getting more than one or two responses.

So please, if you read an article you enjoy and have something to say in response, respond! If there is an author you find yourself reading frequently, give them the gift of reaching out to them. We can really build Medium into something special where we all support each other if we view it as not only a place to share our work, but as a social media site to share the work of others and make connections, too.
