I LOVED this!!
This past Monday here in the lowland riverlands of central Japan was our first breath of springy warmth and I took advantage by eating lunch and meditating down on a sandy shore next to a river, then biking leisurely for a few hours, breathing in the fresh air including the sweet smell of these lovely flowers below.
I’m fortunate in many ways but had been freaking out a bit on Saturday and Sunday as I face the end of my teaching gig of 15 years at the end of the month and am not sure what the future will provide, but being outside those few hours brought me back into the Moment and reminded me of the insight I had on a similar outing last spring: We live in an Abundant Universe, if only you stop to notice it.
Anyway, great piece! It also got me excited because if things go according to plan I’ll be spending several days hiking and camping in early May in your gorgeous Colorado, my first visit since the early 1980s. Everything sounds great except for those beetles! Ha ha.
