Excellent article. Much appreciated from this Washington native now in Japan. I take heart in people working together for peaceful alternatives and suggest that some of the cynical comments in the responses reflect the adolescent, quick-fix nature of many, thinking that making real change happens overnight and then when it doesn't, that real change isn't possible. It takes work. I applaud those doing it.
